Mavericks Tackle Prostate Cancer

The Mavericks are extremely proud to support the Calgary Prostate Cancer Institute (PCI) in their efforts to create awareness of the impact of prostate cancer in the general community. The association with the Mavericks, Calgary’s RCSL representative team, will help to remind Canadian men to take action and urge those at risk to visit their doctors for a blood test and assisting men in dealing with the diagnosis and treatment of prostate cancer.

The Institute, a not-for-profit organization, is supported by the outstanding effort of business partners and individuals in our community. Together with the Calgary Prostate Cancer Foundation it supports proactive PSA testing for men and strongly recommends men at age 40 discuss the benefits of screening for prostate cancer with their family physician. Research is conducted to improve diagnosis and treatment, and ultimately find a cure for prostate cancer.
